African Skies 2, the film that talks about the African wildlife

Gunther Wegner is the author of LRTimelapse, the excellent plug-in for Lightroom that is used to remove the flickering from our time-lapse. African Skies, this project is a mini naturalistic movie filmed in large part with time-lapse sequences.

The Sequel and its purpose – charity

Passionate about photography and astrophotography time lapses, Gunther has spent more than six weeks taking thousands of photographs in parts of Africa such as Namibia, Botswana and South Africa, 4 terabytes of data gathering with his Nikon D800 and Nikon D7100.
It took then a long period of 6 weeks before the project came to light!

The idea of charity fund is simple: Africa is the continent that more than any other is used by the “developed countries” as a toxic waste dump, mineral resource and extensive crops at low cost.

Gunther knows unfortunately the situation, and says that he thinks

“Although this process seems unstoppable, we can not stand still, and it is necessary to denounce certain behaviors, and support local organizations that deal with protecting the local wildlife by their continual threat: the mankind”

For this reason, since already for his “African Skies 1” had done the same thing with success, he decided to replicate the action declaring that a large percentage of the revenue generated by the sale of the film in Full HD and 4K will be devoted to these associations.
