The Netherlands Turned Into a Freezer For One Week!

2018 has been a very cold winter for Europe: this new timelapse video shot by Rick Kloekke shows “The beast from the east” in The Netherlands.

Rick shared with us the following details on his video, which was created on a Sony A7rIII and optimised with LRTimelapse:

The end of february was one to remember! Strong and cold winds reached The Netherlands and caused amazing conditions! Beautiful ice sculptures were made by the splashing water and below zero temperatures.

This weather event is also known as “the beast from the east”. The strong winds made it feel like -20 degrees Celsius!

These conditions only stayed for about a week, but I was lucky enough to have some amazing light. This resulted in unique (for the Netherlands) timelapses!
