1.7 million inhabitants live in Poland’s largest city, Warsaw, a city nicely portrayed in this short film from Maciej Margas covering an entire day in timelapse, from a cold winter night until a bright day.
Located on the Vistula, the largest river in Poland, the survival of this city after many wars is miraculous, but being laboriously rebuilt after World War II, has given this city a new lease of life.
Explored from above, the grand architecture of old reconstructions, skyscrapers and standard residential blocks, along with monumental palaces, parks and big public spaces make up this city mix in colourful and contemporary Warsaw.
