The icy forest – beautiful winter timelapse

blank

This timelapse shows us beautiful trees covered with snow, rivers and small waterfalls in an icy forest of Ontario, especially near the village of Fenelon Falls. The shots are both daily and nightly, including some starry sky.

The video and the pictures are recent, in fact it was made in January 2012, and they have the theme of the frost that has hit Europe and Italy during this period.
For scenes of Astrophotography the author has used the freeware software StarStax (available for Mac, Linux and Windows), a program similar to Startrails , which allows to unite in a single image a series of photographs and then be able to get the trails of the stars.
