Martin Heck (Timestorm Films) returns to the Canary Islands with the third instalment of his acclaimed Island in the Sky series, this time entirely dedicated to La Palma. Shot in breathtaking 8K60, the film showcases the raw volcanic terrain, lush laurel forests and some of the clearest night skies on the planet.

The production relies on a Sony A7R III paired with the legendary Zeiss Otus 28mm f/1.4, a combination that delivers extraordinary sharpness and light-gathering capability for both daytime landscapes and astrophotography sequences. Slider movements add cinematic depth throughout.

Post-production was handled with LRTimelapse, Lightroom, Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve, bringing together the massive 8K footage into a seamless visual experience.
