‘Tanahair Ku’ is a Malay words which means ‘My Mother Land’.
Malaya achieved independence from Britain in 31st Aug 1957, and later formed Malaysia in 16th Sept 1963 with the joining of Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore, before Singapore left 2 years later.

‘Tanahair Ku’ has been a lengthy project of mine since 2012, with the crazy idea to capture every beautiful moment from every states of Malaysia, and to combine them into this video to promote the beautiful landscape across Malaysia. Also note that Malaysia still have some beautiful places to watch the dark skies under the right circumstances.

It is my utmost humbling privilege to dedicate this video to all my fellow Malaysians to mark this year’s Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day.
