Hey everybody,

I'm planning on buying a Syrp Magic Carpet 80 cm slider. And for that I need a sturdy tripod with a solid head. Because there are so many tripods available, I don't know what to buy and I'm asking for your advice.

The tripod has to support a good amount of weight for around 6 or 7 kilos, like camera with lens, Syrp Genie and slider. Because the slider can only be mounted on one tripod, at its center, the preferably two-way head should be strong.

I'm already lurking at these 2 tripods:

But perhaps you people have some good alternatives :)

Thanks!

hey @Freek Barten

I managed to have Syrp on your topic, and this was their answer:

Hey guys - we always recommend using two tripods for stability with the Magic Carpet when possible. While some older version from when they were first released do only have one mounting points, most have two. We really like using 3 Legged Thing's tripods for this!

Hey Marco!

Thank you so much! I haven't heard of the brand before, I'll check them out!
