Optimize a7s ii settings for long shutter and shortest interval

I do timelapses on an a7s ii using a rhino evo slider which controls firing the camera as well as my move. I usually do timelpases that have a shutter around half a second to 2 seconds. At a .5 second shutter on a 4 second interval I dropped 25 frames over a 220 frame move. I'm shooting extra fine jpegs only. I know the trick is just to experiment to find the best interval in relation to shutter speed but does anyone have any tips or tricks to optimize this? Certain SD cards or camera settings etc?

Thank you,
