King’s Canyon: a rival to Yosemite, in astro-timelapse

blank

Numerous daytime landscape photos of Sequoia National Park and King’s Canyon stunning vistas were available, but very little night astrophotography.

Giant Sequoia Trees, impossibly steep cliffs of King’s Canyon: a worthy challenge to seek out some night skyscapes in the parks, while capturing the verdant beauty of the landscapes by day. This is what Gavin Heffernan at Sunchaser Pictures said when introducing his stunning new time lapse video, “Kings”.

All the efforts have been paid off very well with amazing night skies, including a huge meteor strike (1:41 & 2:26)..

Shot using two Canon 6D, rendered on Tim Phillips’ music titled “Rain is Coming”, this definitely deserves our attention! What do you think?
