Time Lapse Network: 4 months after the site launch

blank

We are so excited to see our website and community of timelapsers growing every day a bit more!
As four months have passed since the Time Lapse Network website has been officially launched, it is finally time to know “how’s it going?”.

Let’s have a look at some of the most interesting figures, and let’s see where we are up to!

Time Lapse Network Website

In one single word: terrific!

We’re so impressed to see how much the Time Lapse Network audience grows on a monthly basis. Let’s pick for example the “Last 30 days” time span at Google Analytics right now, so 22 June – 22 July 2014, and compare it with the previous 30 Days period.

  • 25,073 pageviews (15,260)
  • 13,862 visits (7,704)
  • 8,790 unique visitors (3,698)
  • 02:20 avg. visits duration
  • 2,849 visits from Google organic results (1,183, over +140%!)

Talking about the audience itself, United States, Italy, UK, Germany and Australia are the Top 5 Countries bringing visitors towards our site, while Social Networks are bringing roughly the 50% of the whole traffic alone, while Direct and Organic searches combined are bringing the rest.

The results are amazing, don’t you agree?

Time Lapse Network Forum

Our TLN Forum is starting up: at the time being, over 130 registered members have registered, and wrote over 1,000 messages already. From our past experience, having a forum up and running with interesting numbers still needs some time, so we’re confident that it will grow constantly.

Social Space: Facebook, Twitter, Google+

Facebook is the KING of social networks when it comes to traffic driving towards Time Lapse Network.
The following represents the number of total visits (out of 13,862) coming from the social space:

  • 5,421 from Facebook
  • 749 from Vimeo
  • 711 from Reddit
  • 51 from Twitter
  • 30 only from Google+

Actually, this was quite expected as TLN on Facebook is actively pushing fresh contents, either from the site and forum. Google+ has just been launched, and we’re now looking for friends over there – which could explain the very low number of visits.

What surprises us a bit is Twitter’s channel, which although it has already a nice amount of followers, it seems not to be able to engage them for now. We’ll be working on this too, so that Twitter can start driving much more traffic to our site.

We are happy: are you?

The most important thing for us is that Time Lapse Network is a website you like visiting, and a place you love to return to.
Analytics are just.. numbers for us. The best thing is having you here, with us!

Thank you all for your support!
